Over the years, we have always been able to provide opportunities to observe these magnificent animals. However, it is important for visitors to understand that dolphins, along with all other marine species that may be found, live in their natural habitat, in the wild. This means that the location of sightings and the time spent searching can vary, they are always unpredictable and never the same. We always follow best observation practices, respecting the animals’ natural behaviour and making every effort not to influence or disturb their feeding, social, or behavioural habits. Therefore, feeding, chasing, or swimming with the dolphins is not permitted.
Although bottlenose dolphins and common dolphins are the main species targeted for observation, it is sometimes possible to spot other cetaceans, such as pilot whales, minke whales, or even orcas. Additionally, sightings of sharks, sunfish, and various seabirds, including gannets, shearwaters, cormorants, and terns, may occur.
Many of these species are migratory, meaning the likelihood of seeing them varies throughout the year.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for the season’s weather conditions. In summer, you may bring lighter clothing and swimwear, as there may be an opportunity for a swim. However, it is always advisable to bring a warm layer, as temperatures at sea can be lower than on land. In winter, wearing multiple layers, as well as gloves and a hat, is recommended.
Sun protection is also advised.
The tours are accessible and safe for all ages and physical conditions. However, certain weather conditions may make the experience less comfortable or advisable. If you have any specific condition that requires consideration, please contact us in advance so we can assess the sea conditions and provide our recommendation.
Yes. Although a baby does not occupy a seat, legislation requires that they be counted towards the boat’s maximum legal capacity. Therefore, a ticket must be purchased.
Absolutely. The boats are fully equipped with safety devices. Before the tour begins, life jackets are distributed, and a safety and conduct briefing is given. This ensures that the experience is safe, regardless of swimming ability.
In the morning, weather and sea conditions are generally better, more stable, and more favourable for observing marine wildlife. Additionally, animals tend to be more active at this time due to their behavioural and feeding habits, increasing the likelihood of spotting a greater variety of species.
If you arrive significantly late for your tour and the boat has already departed, we ask for your understanding. To ensure the schedule is maintained and to provide the best experience for all, we request that you arrive at least 10 minutes before departure. If you anticipate being late, please contact us before the start time so we can assess how we might assist you.
Tours are subject to changes or cancellations due to weather and sea conditions. If the tour cannot go ahead safely, we will contact you at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule the activity.
On rare occasions, a tour may need to be cancelled on the same day due to unexpected adverse weather, such as fog.
If rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a full refund.
The viewing distance depends on sea conditions and the behaviour of the species encountered. Seabirds tend to be more cautious and often fly away as the boat approaches. Dolphins, on the other hand, enjoy playing with the movement and waves created by the boat. They are naturally curious and often come close to the vessel, swimming alongside the bow and putting on spectacular displays of leaps and acrobatics. However, just like us, they have days when they prefer to be more reserved or cautious.
If the animals appear shy or withdrawn, we will do our best not to disturb them and will maintain a respectful distance to ensure they do not feel threatened. This is particularly important when encountering groups with calves, sick or injured dolphins, or smaller pods.
We emphasise that these animals are in their natural habitat, in the wild, and their behaviour is always unpredictable until we begin observing them.
